**I like the fact the Daily Brew named the photo 'High' is hilarious! Only a mother who is an enabler would say he should stay at 'work'. Work is an understatement by the way, he's the Mayor of Toronto! The woman sounds out of touch, let's hope Ford hasn't been taking her advice all along. Yet something tells me he has been and that's how he's in this pickle to begin with. Ford get into rehab for your alcoholism, crackheadism and KFCism!
**The first thing that has to happen is that R. Ford needs to admit he's got a problem either alcoholic, drugs or eating, but is he going to be able to get help for the length of time its going to take to recover, he thinks he can't be replaced and maybe this is why he won't get the help he needs and his brother has a lot of influence on him so why doesn't he do something to help him.
**Oh yeah I saw that clip on CTV news last night where the drug addict sister is claiming her brother isn't a drug addict and his mother saying the only problem he has is an eating problem. Well I guess it's true about the saying at least once about "he has a face only a mother could love", because she's the only one who seems to be blinded to the reality of what he is. The eating problem is obvious to one and all even before he says or does anything, just looking at him gives that one away, so obviously she has to admit that. But to her he's just a "good lil boy" who'd never do anything wrong ever and that if there is anything being ascribed to him that could be seen as wrong, well it must be the ascriber who's wrong or everyone else in the entourage except his brother of course, who's wrong, but not him. Never him. He's a angel according to what I saw on the news last night. The whole family is as sick and demented as he is, so no wonder he's like that. It'd be a miracle if he wasn't like that, after what I saw last night with the rest of his family.
**Think about it. What is the first thing a user does. Talk themselves into believing the truth is not the truth. To finding something to take their thoughts off their troubles so they don't have to admit they have a problem. Have family members claiming to care but not telling them the simple truth You have a problem. It seems the entire family now agrees he has a problem. Now let go of your security blanket job and get some help. Take a month of two show your more of a man then a abuser and Toronto overall will admire you instead of seeing you for the person you are. Make it right.
**Most would agree it's not the drugs, the booze or the dubious friends...it's the LIES. Pathological lying is far more a concern because there's no telling what they can lie about next. And I include Doug since he takes us for idiots saying he never knew about Rob's drug use. Big fat liars.
**We watched the interview with Ford's mom and sister....made us cringe. Here is the roots of his problems. A family unable to see reality. Enablers and excusors. Mommy making excuses for her little boy and not interested in him acting like an adult man. Very sad and tragic but why should the great city of Toronto suffer?
**The Fords are trying to make it look like Rob Ford is the victim in all this. He's not the victim he's the instigator. Let's face it he has disrespected the office of mayor and the city of Toronto. He has acted in a completely unprofessional and inappropriate manner for someone in political office. Since when is it okay for our political leaders to hang out with known gangsters and criminals? It is time that Rob Ford stop playing the role of victim and take full responsibility for his own actions.
**The whole Ford family has to lose its' sense of entitlement and own up to the problems it has and they are serious. I just cannot believe a mother who feels that things can go on the way they were and I suspect she is a very good reason why the Ford brothers keep acting the way they do. From the matriarch down, the family is so dysfunctional that they do not recognize difficulty when it rises up and smacks them in the face. Living in a world of denial, the family is the enabler that Rob Ford listens to when he runs into difficulty. Rob Ford's problems could cause dire health issues for him or even death, but the mother believes that things can go on as usual. I guess when money can buy your way out of any problem, they all have not learned to live in the real world. Get help, Mayor Ford, before it is too late!

**It's unfortunate that this family is in denial, despite their personal histories, despite recent history and despite present event. Everyone is affected by this behaviour and until Rob, and his family, accept the raw reality of Rob Ford's personal and professional life, the hemorrhaging will continue until there's nothing left to salvage.
**If he can't look after himself then how is he going to take care of Toronto? Its time for him to forget about his big ego and go for help, Toronto will manage. I know he said he was elected by the people of Toronto but they didn't count on electing an alcoholic and a drug addict.
**Hafta admit, after that debacle yesterday with the release of this new video, I did feel a twinge of sympathy for him as one human being to another. But it quickly dissipates because HE LIED yet again. He was OBVIOUSLY not "inebriated" - implying booze-drunk. That crazy rant was fueled by cocaine/crack. I'd be willing to bet my next 4 paycheques on that. . Even the media is buying into the false narrative as they continue to refer to him being drunk in that damn video. scary thing is - remember THIS is only Chapter 1 of this Farce. Deluded Ford Nation are conveniently only mentioning Mayor Fraud's personal issues with drinking, his weight (no kidding!) blah blah...and conveniently forgetting about all the potentially criminal behaviour that is in the police documents. Does anyone honestly think the packages exchanged between this loser drug dealer Lisi and Ford was ANYTHING other than drugs? And apparently these meetings were taking place DURING work hours ? Ford Nation's Taxpayer dollars at work. Ford was regularly absent from council claiming he was "out meeting with constituents...". Yea HIS CRACK constituent - Lisi and God knows who else. Look at the Star's article in April about Mayor Fraud's itinerary - very few official meetings but 88 blocks of "private" time. what was he up to? We're going to get ALOT of questions answered tonight during The Fifth Estate broadcast. If Mayor Fraud isn't already buried, he will be after this show tonight. Keep fooling yourselves, Ford apologists and delusionals - he's going to go away one way or the other. And I'll damn well guarantee you I am going to gather the masses at the polls next October and ensure this Fraud does not have a crack pipe's chance in Heck of pulling a Marion Berry on us. He doesn't deserve to be in a position of power - only a Drug Kingpin perhaps. Not a Mayor.
**Ralph Klein admitted he was an alcoholic and people still voted for him. I think people with substance abuse are not in the right state of mind to peroperly make the informed decision that are required to run a city. Drug and alcohol abuse alter your state of mind and do no allow for the best decision possible.
**His family, by denying the problem are enablers, and the fact that his sister has had an addiction problem, means it is a family problem. Not just Rob needs help, the entire family needs help. He's going to need longer than a couple of weeks off - he likely needs long-term residential treatment.
**Before he became a victim, he was the aggressor.. It's called KARMA. He is playing victim now but he brought that upon himself. He should blame nobody but himself. He should know better because he works in public service. For me, all his admissions were simply fake and all drama. He lacks acting skills. He deserves everything what is happening to him right now. It just goes to show he underestimated the issues he has, and made wrong decisions. I do not condemn him, because he is human. But he has to take responsibility for his actions. It all should start within himself. All talk and no action will not take him anywhere.... he needs to concede his seat and seek help.... esp professional help.

Go ahead Mom, stick your head in the sand along with your son, enable him to view himself as a victim with no responsibility whatsoever; help him to stay in his own virtual reality that has no consequences and then cry your eyes out when sonny-boy hits rock bottom and has a melt down. **A somewhat biased opinion from the "Mother of Ford nation" another act of enablement and a relatively "lone voice" in the wilderness of overpowering reasons why he should step aside, resign, seek help and if he doesn't he should be neutralized by whatever means council has at its disposal.
**If he smoked crack once (as he said-cough, cough), then that's not an addiction. He has admitted to a drinking problem though. The media might be all over him if he went to AA, but at least he would look better for it and it might help him with his problems.
**Good for Ford. Mom loves him. And while we'd never question a mother's love for her offspring, her assessment is suspect as to whether or not he should continue as Mayor of Toronto. Mom, if you really love your boy, and I'm sure you do, get him to resign and get help for his addictions.
**If you were just any one more "on the Toronto streets crack addict" there wouldn't such a great uproar in Toronto. Yes, we would want that person to get help from their addiction, but we wouldn't demand that person to change their lifestyle or quit their job. In the case like a Mayor, Crown Attorney, Police Chief, or even beat officer, society must be concerned that the addict can be "blackmailed" by the very people that supply them with the illicit drugs. In those cities that have widespread corruption, it has been the result of people in power, who have fallen under the influence criminal gangs, in order to protect their reputation. Corrupted city alder people crooked cops or prosecutors are the weak link in the armour of city government.
**What is wrong with this family? Rob Ford is not a victim but I guess it is easier to play that role because it circumvents personal responsibility. While we cannot choose our family we can choose our friends and Rob has chosen to consort with drug dealers. If he doesn't step down on his own then he has to pushed out. As for Doug he is more interested in advancing his own political career than his brother's well being. Treatment for substance abuse is not a 2 week holiday and as for Rob needing to lose weight that is the least of his problems. Ford Nation what is wrong with your thinking? You see a mayor unraveling and yet you still do not encourage him to step down and get help. You see a mayor being humiliated by the release of videos, the but of jokes around the world, and yet you persist in demanding that he remain mayor. Ford Nation you are worse than a pack of wolves. At least for the wolves' prey death comes fairly quickly. You are inflicting a death by a thousand cuts. What kind of people are you? And no. I am not a supporter of Rob Ford, never have been and never will be. What the Ford family and Ford Nation are doing to the man is just despicable. Ford needs to step down either through resignation or a leave of absence.
**I am sick and tired of all this nonsense, the first thing that a government official needs to have is integrity and a drunken Mayor smoking crack cocaine doesn't have any! Convince him to get help, go into rehab away from them all and when he's clean and sober for over a year...then we'll see if he can be trusted with a public office, right now he doesn't have that trust, he has betrayed the confidence the people put on him. People around him are only caring about the benefit of a name and the power of an office, not the guy himself.
**I love how he attempts to use his drunkenness to rationalize his decision making process. "I said that cause i was drunk" or "i did that shameful act cause i was intoxicated". It's his choice to abuse alcohol therefore anything he does under the influence is his responsibility. Alcohol isn't some cop out that can be used when taking part in a stupid act. Him and his mother need to get checked out. He is in denial and she is oblivious to his current state.
